Current information from HOLZER holiday home

If you have already booked your stay at a HOLZER holiday apartment, we will inform you personally on whether and how it is possible to travel to our holiday home.

If you haven’t yet booked your HOLZER holiday, you will find the most important information about arrival and your stay here.

Compulsory testing before arrival

All guests must present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival. This requires official proof of testing, so self-tests are only valid if done under supervision. This applies to both PCR or rapid antigen tests that are no more than 24 hours old.

Business travellers are exempt from the testing requirement.

Online appointment allocation for rapid test stations

As you will have to undergo regular COVID-19 tests during your stay, you can register for testing here in advance. Simply register with your contact details and a personal QR code will be sent to you by e-mail. This QR code allows you to take a rapid test every 48 hours at one of the test stations in the area. For our guests, the tests are free of charge and are usually possible without an appointment. You will find an overview of all rapid test stations in the area here after logging in.

Regular testing

If you are staying for an extended period of time and receiving services (such as spa treatments, etc.), you must present a current negative COVID-19 test on a regular basis throughout your stay. This includes a PCR test that is no more than 48 hours old or a rapid antigen test that is no more than 24 hours old. You can do the latter at one of the rapid test stations in the area, such as the one at the post office in Rottach-Egern. Proof of the negative test result must be shown to the hosts.

The good news: If you take care of yourself in your HOLZER holiday apartment and do not make use of our breakfast service, wellness services, or similar, you are exempt from the follow-up test requirement.

If you have already received both vaccine doses or can prove you have recovered from a COVID-19 infection, you do not need to have a negative COVID-19 test either on arrival or at 48-hour intervals. However, you must have been vaccinated at least 14 days ago or have recovered at least 28 days ago but no more than six months ago. Children up to the age of six and business travellers are also exempt from the testing requirement. Proof of complete vaccination or recovery must be presented upon arrival.

Our relaxed cancellation conditions

In order to offer you a flexible and carefree holiday, we have relaxed our cancellation conditions. If arrival from your federal state is not permitted due to current regulations, you can cancel your stay free of charge or postpone it to a later date. The same applies if you fall ill with COVID-19 or have to quarantine and can prove this with a medical certificate. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Our tip: TravelSecure® travel insurance

In these turbulent and uncertain times, it is good to have a safety net in place. Play it safe when booking your dream holiday at Lake Tegernsee! We recommend the travel cover of TravelSecure®: the travel cancellation insurance protects you if you have not yet started your journey and have to cancel your stay because of COVID-19. The travel interruption insurance, on the other hand, offers comprehensive protection if you have already started your journey and your stay has to be interrupted or extended due to COVID-19. You can choose between two travel protection packages: Corona Basic and Corona Premium. In order to activate the travel cover, a TravelSecure® travel cancellation insurance must exist or be concluded in advance. Click here to read the TravelSecure® travel protection letter (German only). In this way, nothing stands in the way of your safe and carefree holiday!
